Description
This self-applying updater application contains the Service Pack 4 updates which enables registered owners of the 5.5 version of the FirstClass¨ Intranet Server for Mac¨ OS to update it and it's associated applications and files to the latest version (FirstClass¨ Intranet Server 5.740, FirstClass¨ Intranet Tools 5.740 and FirstClass¨ Internet Services 5.770). The 5.5 SP4 versions of the applications are FirstClass Gold ready (FirstClass Gold offers additional functionality when the FirstClass Gold license is purchased and installed).

Important - This service pack can only be applied to the released 5.5 version of the FirstClass¨ Intranet Server and it's associated applications and files. It cannot be used against versions prior to 5.5 or the demo version.
New features/enhancements in this release since 5.5 SP3
Increased Concurrent Session Limit under Mac OS 9
Mac OS 9 increased the value for the maximum number of concurrent open files. This improvement in Mac OS now allows the potential for increasing the maximum number of supported concurrent sessions in the FirstClass Intranet Server from its current limit of 100 to 250 (i.e. same as supported by the FirstClass Intranet Server for Windows NT).
When running under Mac OS 9, the FirstClass Intranet Tools will allow setting the number of concurrent sessions from 1 to 250, and the FirstClass Intranet Server will support it.
To support greater than 100 concurrent sessions under Mac OS 9, the minimum hardware requirement is a G3 Mac with appropriate RAM.
When running under Mac OS 9, with the FCIS server and Internet Services on the same machine, and the number of concurrent sessions is set greater than 100, you must specify and configure Internet Services to connect to the FCIS server via TCP-IP.FCP not LOCAL.FCP.
