After 16 years, ACI decided it was time to change their name to reflect the more recognizable name of their popular product line. 4D SA (France), 4D Inc. (USA), 4D Japan, ... hope that this change will increase brand recognition and make it easier for developers to help clients benefit from the powerful features that the 4th Dimension (4D) product line has to offer. "The renown of the "4D" registered trade mark is proven and measurable on a worldwide basis. In order to capitalize on the 4D awareness, we have decided that the ACI companies world wide would change name to 4D." says Laurent Ribardière, President of the 4D Group.
